We’re excited that November brings with it so many great things to do in Dallas to get involved in the fight against hunger! This month’s list includes one of our favorite annual traditions, A Christmas Carol, with our friends at the Dallas Theater Center! Before we get to the list, we can’t help but point out that Dallas Theater Center was one of several organizations and individuals that received a 2016 Golden Fork Award earlier this week for their commitment in helping ensure food is on the table for everyone in North Texas. Their work has allowed us to provide access to more than 1.6 million meals over the past several years of our partnership!! This is just one of the many reasons A Christmas Carol has become a “must-see” holiday performance if you live in the Dallas area! Check it out Nov. 23 – Dec. 28 (more info below!).

T.J. Maxx, Marshalls and HomeGoods Give Back Campaign, Nov. 4-6
— Shop at your local DFW T.J.Maxx, Marshalls or HomeGoods store from November 4-6 and donate at the register to support the North Texas Food Bank! 100% of the dollars raised at register will go directly to our organization!

Pairings on the Parkway – Nov. 6 — Get your Pairings on The Parkway Passport and join us on a trip through Village on the Parkway and enjoy delectable tastings of specialty cuisine and beverages! A portions of the proceeds will be donated to NTFB! Click here to purchase your tickets.

Dallas Opera Performances – Nov. 13 & Nov. 19 — Help support the North Texas Food Bank at the Dallas Opera. Enjoy a family performance (‘Verdi and Company’ Nov. 13 & ‘Bastien and Bastienne’ Nov. 19) for FREE! Simply bring two requested items during select performances and receive a free ticket. Requested items include canned vegetables or fruit, canned or dried beans, peanut or almond butter, whole grain crackers and granola bars. Visit dallasopera.org/family for more information.

NTX Beer Week Brewer’s Ball – Nov. 18 — NTX Beer Week welcomes you to the 3rd Annual Brewer’s Ball! This signature event offers a unique, one of a kind chance to rub elbows with some of craft beer’s elite while enjoying bites from some of the area’s best beer-centric restaurants. A founder, owner, and/or brewmaster from each brewery will be present and only 500 tickets are available, making this an intimate event you won’t want to miss. This event will include a silent auction with all proceeds benefiting NTFB. Click here to purchase your tickets.

Dallas Theater Center’s A Christmas Carol – Nov. 23 – Dec. 28 — Scrooge is back! And she’s cranky as ever! Come kick off the holiday season with us as A Christmas Carol returns to the Wyly Theatre. In this delightfully re-imagined take on Dickens’ enduring classic, the audience is immersed in the story with magical ghosts flying above, scary ghosts bursting out of the floor, and snow falling from the sky. Full of traditional Christmas hymns in fresh, toe-tapping musical arrangements, joyful bursts of choreography, and eye-popping special effects, A Christmas Carol is Dallas’ “must-see” Holiday tradition. At the end of the show, actors will collect donations to benefit the North Texas Food Bank!
